In a central location near the Konrad-Adenauer square in Bergisch-Gladbach, the courtyard of a Wilhelminian town house was to be redesigned. Previously the area was used entirely for commercial purposes. The goal was to build a walk-in backyard roof that serves as a sun terrace for a young family. The new spatial structure was designed in such a way that both the ongoing business operations and the family's new space could be used simultaneously. The roofing accentuates the charm of the Wilhelminian style backyard in its material and construction.
