Rogers, the 2007 laureate of the Pritzker Prize, joins the current eight-person jury made up of Peter Palumbo (chair), Alejandro Aravena, Stephen Breyer, Yung Ho Chang, Kristin Feireiss, Glenn Murcutt, Benedetta Tagliabue, and Ratan N. Tata.

Tom Pritzker, president of the Hyatt Foundation, praised Rogers in a statement: "Richard Rogers understands architecture in its larger context and is deeply committed to its crucial role in creating livable cities. ... Richard’s humanist perspective will make a substantial contribution to the jury and the message that is the core of the Prize." One of the most recent projects by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners is the Leadenhall Building; a short video below gives a tour of the London tower.

Recent recipients of the Pritzker Architecture Prize include Shigeru Ban (2014), Toyo Ito (2013), Wang Shu (2012), Eduardo Souto de Moura (2011) and Kazuyo Sejima & Ryue Nishizawa (2010).
