Of the 420 projects from 36 countries competing for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015, we highlight some of the contending projects designed by World-Architects member firms.
The announcement from the European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe on the finalists came last month, with the jury scheduled to select the shortlisted projects by the end of this month. It will not be an easy feat for the jury to select a shortlist of 5 from the 420, considering the high level of quality of architecture produced by European architects for the EU countries in the last two years. Stay tuned for news of the shortlisted projects in a few weeks, and best of luck to all of the contenders.
