The main design concept was to experience the metaphor of a marine city starting from the main elements of its docks, buildings and public spaces to the tiny details of signage and materials.
The metaphor of a city with it’s neighborhood would create an equilibrium in the departments and the hierarchy in a city. Planters were be introduced as green spots separating departments and presenting breathing venues for the different neighborhoods. spaces where gatherings would take place like meeting room represent the wooden docks in a city where arrivals and departures are major re cognitive notions of a city.
The materials used in open spaces are applications of the public areas metaphors where cement blocks, white wood, concrete, and transparent are major elements. In short, employees as well as visitors are meant to explore a miniature of a marine city design by Ayla.
